Scaling is all about MAXIMIZING THE MONEY, OPTIMIZING THE OPERATIONS to BUILD A GREAT BUSINESS, A GREAT BACK ACCOUNT and A GREAT LIFE from your business.
There are many ways to scale a business, but it is all about hitting higher revenue and income levels without giving away all of your profits or becoming a slave to your business.
Many people say they want to scale, but they don't have the business model to support this.
I have seen multiple-million dollar businesses where the owner was barely making an income or even failed.
It is because they really don't understand how to scale profitably and efficiently.
If you tell me your business has a million dollars in revenue and you are making a $100k a year income, I am not impressed.
If you tell me your business is making $200k a year and you are making $130k-$150k income, I am more impressed.
"Revenue feeds the ego, but profits feed the family and the bank account."
Here are three things that are needed to scale profitably and efficiently.
1. You must have a VISION for your business. What you want and what that looks like.
2. You must have the right business model that is scalable.
3. You must have the business foundation in place that can be ramped up (financial, marketing, sales.)

5 年That's a goldmine there it's self, I really like the entire article, and feel this is one of the most overlooked?concepts for most of the business owners? I loved this line "Revenue feeds the ego, but profits feed the family and the bank account." - This is so true business is a Game of margin and not volumes, the entire media has just hyped that more volumes mean the bigger company, more profits? I remember watching? On one of the shows were, a billion dollar company, which has been around for 75 years if I remember right. Each year, they’re doing 50 million dollars in sales and 400 thousand in losses. They’re also four million dollars in debt and have $30 thousand in cash at the bank. To say that the business is in trouble is an understatement.
