When Things Go Wrong

I've been meaning to write this post for several weeks and with the recent devastating news about Hawaii, I felt it was finally time to put pen to paper. So here goes.

Traveling is supposed to be a fun and exciting experience, but it's important to remember that things can go wrong (I know, we never want to talk about this as it's not a fun topic!) From flight cancellations or delays to lost luggage, medical emergencies and more - you'll want to hire a travel advisor to help you navigate all of this. Here are just a few of the things that I can do for you and your family while traveling:

  • Flight cancellations or delays.?I monitor all flights for my clients so that I know in real-time whether there have been changes. I then can notify drivers and hotels of these adjustments without you having to worry.
  • Lost luggage.?It's not uncommon for luggage to get lost or delayed in transit. This can be a major inconvenience. I always recommend clients add an Apple AirTag to their luggage so that they can closely track it. Also, always pack some clothes in your carry-on!
  • Medical emergencies.?If you get sick or injured while you're traveling, it can be expensive to get medical treatment. This is especially true if you're traveling outside of your home country. I work with this amazing company called MedJet that will fly you home to the hospital of your choice for a tiny fraction of the cost. (Clients love this option!)
  • Natural disasters.?Natural disasters can strike anywhere, at any time. If you're following the news you'll see Hawaii is particularly under a state of emergency due to wildfires. This is where travel insurance is key. I sell insurance to clients all of the time and highly recommend it.
