When systems are crucial
Unexpected, but it makes total sense!
Most of my clients come to me when they’re either on the cusp of scaling or growing their business, or when they’ve already experienced it and know that their current tools and processes are not sustainable in the long-term.
All of my clients want to have more time on their hands, more headspace to play in their zone of genius, and be more present in their lives outside the business.
But when this client came to me, he presented a whole other perspective to why systems and processes are so crucial for some businesses, even at earlier stages.
You see, this client has ongoing health issues that prevent him from working full-time, and there are certain limitations on how long he can work in a day.
Setting him up with the right systems, tools, and processes was crucial to free up time for him to DO THE WORK, rather than waste time on repetitive admin tasks.
After hearing what he needed help with, we decided to address his sales pipeline process first.
?? We started by understanding and outlining each step of his sales cycle, from initial reach out to sending a personalized proposal with just a couple of clicks, and every step in between.
?? Then it was important to clearly define his packages and pricing for each offering.
?? Followed by understanding which systems he was already using, what he liked about them, what he didn’t like about them, and what other functionalities he wished to have in his workflow.
?? Based on his answers and what I learned about his business, I suggested a few tools for him to try out.
?? And then I set up automations and systems that fit his preferences and requirements to make most of the processes run on (almost) auto-pilot.
The right processes and systems are especially important if you don’t have time to waste, regardless of the reason.
They make business easy and sustainable, and allow you to grow even if (and especially when) you have certain limitations that you must consider.
Working with this client taught me an important lesson about accessibility and inclusivity, and showed me (yet again!) how tech can enable growth when you previously could only dream of it.
I’m glad he can now use his limited time on doing work that matters.
