When the Stars Align, a Masterpiece is Born.

When I sit down to paint (actually I stand), I have no idea what I will create. I have a vague idea of the colour palette, but that's it. I put my headphones on, free my mind, and let my emotion flow. The music takes over, and I become one with my canvas and paint. The less I think about what the end result will be, the more likely the painting will be great. If the stars align, a masterpiece is born. If not, then I start over. I am confident in my work, my technique, and my style. So if I don't get butterflies when I'm finished a painting, I start over. It's all in the stars...   www.sarahphelps.ca
