When Someone Else’s Stories Make You Appreciate the Good You Have.

What is the mandate of a frum paper? What are we all about? What makes us tick? Our columnist Avrohom Birnbaum discusses the responsibility of publishing and presenting ideas to the public.

In keeping with our mandate, the paper’s editorials generally reflect the mandate Rabbi Birnbaum discusses, instead of providing advice for the world’s leaders, we discuss how we can be better people. This week the theme is derech eretz, speaking softly and not carrying a stick.

On a very sad note, a tiny little queen passed away last week at the unimaginable age of seven. Sick for five years, Malky Hirth possessed an indomitable spirit and touched the heartstrings of everyone she came in contact with. Read her amazing story written by Rabbi Yechiel Spero in this week’s Yated.

Rabbi Menashe Eichler, father of UTJ MK Yisroel Eichler, was the guardian of Meron, read his fascinating story in this week’s paper.

A group of men sick with cancer traveled to Meron to daven. Our writer, Tzvika Yaakovson went along. It’s a life changing piece. Read their story and appreciate the good you have.

Debbie Maimon is back with a fascinating story of betrayal in the Holocaust. Read Part One of The Saga of Peter Bergson and gain new insight into the levels of anti-Semitism in that period. What goes on now is baby stuff.

Readers have been sending in letters castigating therapists the past couple weeks, this week our panel responds. Excellent material!

We’re not sensational, but we are full of good reads.

Sit back, relax and get educated.

Till next week,

Chayale

This is an important concept to teach kids - especially in the bully centered world we live in. This also may be of related interest: https://www.primeins.com/insurance-news/the-big-bad-bully-how-to-protect-your-kid

The Yated is a quality newspaper unlike any other which is why I have kept up my membership for over 10 years. The articles are well written and relevant and don't need to be verified for accuracy. I'm looking forward to therapists responses to the therapy bashing. You are providing an incredible resource to the community.

I look forward to reading Tzvikas article on "davening for life". It should be a fascinating read.

Wow! Unbelievable. The media is so petty nowadays, cringeworthy. Thank you for standing up for something larger, for truth.
