When to sit back and smell the roses.

When to sit back and smell the roses.

As a business, we’ve been steadily growing for the past few years, and the time came last week for us to move locations. (I’m currently sat in our shiny new offices, typing this as I’m overlooking the Thames, wondering if any of the boats hold MI6 agents in their way to work - they’re our neighbours now you see...)

It’s been a smooth transition here, no hiccups to note. Work as usual. But is it?

You see, I can’t help but notice that now we’re in our new digs, something’s changed...

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what this is, and I think I’ve figured it out. We simply are all proud to be here, and each of us know that together through the hard work of every individual combined, we’ve made the growth and subsequent office move happen.

It’s like there is a subconscious sigh-of-relief happening in each of us, something along the lines of that “it’s all worth it and that hard work and being nice to people does actually pay off”.

hard work and being nice to people does actually pay off

That’s what I’m thinking anyway.

It obviously doesn’t stop here, and we’re still a very busy workplace, with fabulous work coming out left, right and centre. It’s just great to take a moment and see the fruits, that’s all.

I’m sure it’s obvious that it’s no fluke we’re growing - this is definitely down to good processes across the company and clear-headed direction from the owners. But without sharing our secrets, I do want to say that in my nearly 20-year career, I’ve never been a part of such a vibrant and fast paced company that make you feel like you’re part of the reason for the success, quite like I feel it here.

Don’t get me wrong, we all work very hard, but just seeing the physical growth in both workforce and workplace, we’ve got to be doing something right.

I guess the office move has really given us all an opportunity to take stock of where we’ve been and where we’re headed. Something that can’t but help any person, team or company!

I highly recommend making space to look at the past, present and future – you’ll be very proud of where you’ve come I guarantee. After all, the future is bright and full of good things!

Come have a brew and let's make beautiful work together!
