If you buy a home before you are ready, there can be significant financial consequences. For example, if you overspend, you can become house poor.
Buying a home for the right reasons is essential, and you should be sure you are ready and aren’t just buying because it’s what you are expected to do, or someone convinces you that it’s the next step in your life.
Don't let anyone convince you until you feel comfortable with this decision. Social expectations and pressure towards accepted financial status can put you on financial trouble.
Settling down doesn't mean you should push yourself towards uncertainty.
I can't stress enough how crucial it is that you are ready and stable enough to buy a home.
Until you feel ready to commit to buying a home, you should not do so, no matter what your friends or family think.
If you know that work can take you away for an extended period, it might be a better idea to lease a house rather than buying a new house each time you move.
However, if you are financially safe, you might think of investing in a rental property with two to five units.
