WHEN TO REPLACE YOUR EQUIPMENT?
Michael Russell
Providing the people of Connecticut with the right equipment and support for the job.
Many times we try to save money in the short run by extending the run time of our current machines. The question is what is the trade off? Factors to consider are reliability, down time, productivity, and trade value. The less reliable the machine becomes the larger the issues become for the company. Rescheduling, downtime loss to service, upset customers and more. A good rule of thumb for air cooled engines is expect 100 hours per horsepower and for liquid cooled engines 150 hours per horsepower before expecting major repairs. Obviously there are many factors that can alter that number. So a 23hp air cooled could expect 2300 hours and a 23hp liquid cooled could expect 3450 hours. I am referencing your larger mowers in this. Do you know what your expected hours are on your hand held equipment? I travel throughout CT. and would gladly go over your current equipment and future equipment needs to see what would be the most profitable for you. This is FREE. This is what I do. My hopes is that we can help you build a stronger business and that along the way you consider us for your equipment needs. Thank you for taking time to read this.
