WHEN RED BULL DID NOT GIVE YOU "WINGS"
In 2013, Benjamin Careathers filed a case against Red Bull as the drink"didn't give him, real wings!"Red Bull advertises that a can of Red Bull contains the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee, but benjamin argued in court that a 250ml can of Red Bull contains about 80mg of caffeine which is even less than a small 207ml of coffee that has 150 mg of caffeine. He further argued that the ad is deceptive and misleading which can make people think that an energy drink gives a higher energy boost than an average cup of coffee. The court ruled in favor of benjamin, eventually ordering Red Bull to pay a total of $13Mn as compensation to the consumers who felt cheating by drinking its energy drink in the last decade.
Finally, the company changes its ad slogan to "RED BULL GIVES YOU WIINGS"so that no one could sue them as there cannot be any literal dictionary meaning of "wings"
