When Procrastination Becomes The Problem – how to navigate the foggiest frontier

When Procrastination Becomes The Problem – how to navigate the foggiest frontier

You know, in over 20 years of coaching hundreds of clients there are still three little words, arranged in the same order, that makes this coach hit the Axminster.

I have coached people through loss, disappointment, abject fear, confidence and creativity roadblocks and taken folks from people pleasers to trail blazers.

But there is a three-word phase that is the psychic equivalent of trying to bore through a wall made of marble just using your eyelashes.

It’s like coaching Kryptonite and when a client presents it, (usually when you, as the coach have ingeniously crafted the ultimate gleaming 50-million-dollar question guaranteed to make a dent in the universe), and you feel an inner outage happening as they say it.

So, what is this trio of power-reducing words? The one line you know so well and resort to in a number of life’s countless challenges – it’s simply this – “I don’t know”.

This is no lightning bolt realisation but a grey life hump you feel clueless about.

“I don’t know” is the mind’s pop-up when confronted with what to do about a lack lustre relationship, a career decision, an aggravating family member, your health, weight or happiness level.??It’s the Get Into Jail Free card of emotional incarceration.

A good friend sent me this piece by Abraham Hicks and I thought it so useful as an alternative take on the IDK slump.

Thing is, you DO know. You deep down know so well what is right for you but fear, your upbringing, self-worth and the awesomeness of your real potential is blocking your psychic satnav.
