When people don't 'get'? your dreams

When people don't 'get' your dreams

"I don’t get it."

"Why would you want to do that?"

" I could never do that. "

"Wow. That’s… wow. "

These feel like judgements, right?

They feel like the person saying them isn’t being very nice.

But have a look at their words for a moment...

I don’t get it = I don’t understand. I don’t have the same perspective on this, because I am not standing where you are standing.

And that makes perfect sense.

Why would you want to? = I have different desires to you, I cannot imagine wanting to do that because my path is different to yours and I am driven by different desires.

And that’s perfectly wonderful.

I could never do that = I am holding on very tightly to my beliefs about what I can and can’t do right now.

And that’s where many people stay. And that’s fine.

Wow = I am amazed. This is expanding my awareness. I am not sure what to say because I am processing something quite new.

The tone with which you read their words, the meaning you attach to them, the intention you decide is there... will be a result of what’s in your subconsious mind.

Often it is someone else’s hook, that brings up something lurking in our pond.

Thank the people for the triggers. It’s how you clear out your subconcious-pond.

Makes sense?

(Watch my #sorceryskills livestream over on Facebook for more on things lurking in ponds and how we can expand our capacity to feel, do and be.)

Clear and succinct article Carlie Maree - and I like your analogy of the hook bringing up something lurking in our own pond!

So true. We all have different journeys and comparisons can only hinder us or distract us from accomplishing our mission!
