When Our Hearts Are Open

I was so happy that I stopped by the health store the other night and saw the next generation in action. These three beautiful young women were at the cash register with a huge pile of products in front of them, and I could see they were running on pure adrenaline, so asked what was going on. They had set up a paybox for donations to buy food for soldiers who were called up but can't eat gluten. I said that's great, but how are they going to get it? And they're like - oh we already have people all over the country who will deliver the packages to them. This is how the next generation operates - nothing it too complicated for them - they have the whole world at their fingertips. And as the young cashier was handing their credit card back to them he said - oh I added 200 NIS of my own to cover it. How amazing are these young people?? They raised a significant amount in a matter of hours. They also told me about companies who are donating products to their initiative. Remember these names because for sure these amazing young women will contribute a lot of good to society: Liel Adda, Maya Braverman, Mor Maza.

It's also great to see how Dovi Frances keeps coming up with new ways to help the soldiers (and Israel) - today it's about getting them great coffee:

Dovi with fellow Israeli Aharon Vaknin owner of Aharon Coffee & Roasting Company in Beverly Hills

"In anticipation for a long battle we have decided to also, on top of everything else, make sure Israeli soldiers have coffee. Plain and simple - The best coffee one can get. Aharon Coffee & Roasting Company in Beverly Hills is not only a coffee shop owned by a fellow Israeli and coffee fanatic Aharon Vaknin it is essentially a place of coexistence for Arabs, Christians, Jews who come daily to drink a cup of espresso, cappuccino or Turkish coffee made by the best coffee beans and best roasting equipment bar none. In this spirit of solidarity with our peace-seeking people and our Israeli soldiers, I just signed an order for half a ton of ground coffee to be prepared for Israel Defense Forces soldiers in the battle field." His father's company Holon Motors - ????? ?????? will distribute the coffee with the help of hundreds of Group 11 employees. (See his post)

Let's Promise To Keep This Up ....

As you can see donations are pouring in from everywhere because everyone wants to help out. No one is asking at a time like this who is getting the stuff or what their opinions are. There are no opinions now. Sorrow and tears soften the heart, and our hearts are wide open to help and encourage others.

In situations like this when there is love that stems from a spring of instinctive emotion, this is precisely the time to forge an alliance. With the promise that what is between us right now comes directly from the heart, we'll have the power to continue afterwards, being conscious of the fact that we're going above all differences of opinion and separation. Our present and better future depend on forging this covenant between us.

Our promise to each other is to be in solidarity from now on, in prayer that will help us keep the covenant, which will help us find our higher purpose. This is the greatest contribution we can give, to the soldiers, to the bereaved families, and to all of Israel.

I feel the whole world opening their hearts and sending good vibes our way -

Embracing the people of Israel in this difficult time.

Sending condolences to the families of the victims.

Praying for the peace of the captives and the kidnapped.

Wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.

and strengthening all the soldiers and security units.
