Africa's Continental Free Trade Agreement is an ambitious step to unleash growth, as I argue in my new monthly Gulf News column here. No doubt, with 50+ players, it will be challenging to pull off. But at least the Africans are trying to take on meaningful trade reform.
This is in contrast to NAFTA 2.0, which will do more to alter the composition of trade within North America than enhance its volume. Indeed, in Forbes I lay out why the revised NAFTA is a dud.
