When they need us!

Have we ever faced a situation that we have assigned a project to someone and the person initially shows the enthusiasm and courage to complete the task, however in between you feel they giving up and looking for more confidence around?
What do we do in these situations?
It is required to coach people and be with them during those times to let them know the significant goals they have achieved earlier with the assurance of being with them as compared to any of the traditional leadership areas defined. The need of the hour here is to "show the path to get things done while being with them" rather than only leading for the deliverables to be met or to get things done.
This is what I feel is the need of the hour as let's not expect the people to match your expertise and experience always which is directly proportional to your expectations from them but the important aspect is how much have you really understood about them and how much they feel comfortable around you to learn more. Most importantly there is a need for us to make all learn and grow with no fear of admitting mistakes & Correcting them.
When we say learning is lifelong, let's not forget the person in the mirror is one of them with still lot to learn. Last but not the least, to those we are trying to make learn, there is tremendous potential in them for us also to learn from them and having that thought can auto adjust the leadership style required at the moment you are in.
Thoughts are welcome....
