When meetings kill missions
WHEN MEETINGS KILL MISSIONS
Do you really need to sit in another meeting? #toughlove
Deep down you know the following is true:
-most meetings waste time
-most meetings aren’t inspiring or motivating
-most meetings aren’t bringing relationship depth, which is the real reason we should be connecting with our customers
-most meetings aren’t geared towards solving a real problem or implementing solutions
-most meetings are encompassed by a talking head that isn’t saying a whole lot, thus lack of structure, intention, alignment or purpose mean most people are attending out of obligation asking themselves what is the point?
-most meetings are wasting valuable time for an employee or sales person when they could be implementing focused actions and creative explorations that bring about greater outcomes

Ok now that we’ve established the uncomfortable truth of most meetings, how can we shift this? Here are my suggestions:
Doing things for the sake of doing them or the same old same old is not going to bring desired outcomes.
Without a vision people get stuck in the same job, same goals, same dreams, but never really going anywhere because they are stuck………and this goes both ways.
I’m just saying what everyone is already thinking, so go out there and be mindful of your time, your value and your resources. Stop going to meetings that aren’t worth those things and stop holding meetings that drain them.?
If you’re on a mission and have a purpose, don’t kill it, but kindle it, and you can do this by spending your time more intentionally and purposefully. Stay focused on the mission at heart and make choices that solely support it…and let everything else go. You’ll find yourself experiencing more energy, more focus and determination to move mountains, maximize your time and step into greater potential!
