When Will The Manipulation End?

Most of you who will read this already know the difficulties I have faced when dealing with the Amazon seller world. Dropshippers, scammers, etc.

Well there are so many ways that foreign actors are plaguing the platform and they wouldn't do it if Amazon could get their act together. this is from a recent post by seller since2014 on the sellercentral forum from MArch 28/2022:

This is all discovered by other sellers for one reason or another and as the thread grew, the digging began. It was later discovered that all of these positive reviews were left in a matter of days. I have been on Amazon for about three years and get an average .3 ratings per day.

It was also found that the names of the "buyers" leaving the feedback are also "sellers" on amazon and each of their accounts have feedback that is...identical and from the same group of people. Here is what I predict happens:

1. The Positive feedback will keep rolling in until they have reached some predicted number that gives them the edge they want
2. Once they have the feedback rating they will pirate some item that is for sale and basically steal it or prevent other sellers from being able to sell it and usurp the listing.

Regardless of what happens it should be fairly easy with all of the computing power that Amazon has, to use simple statistics and data mining to isolate phrases among sellers, buyers, and items that are not normal. If they could monitor the text being applied to listings as it happens and cross reference each submission against the ones submitted everywhere else within a plus or minus window of say 10 minutes, they would be able to notice abnormalities. Then they could widen the window if they wanted.

There are so many things that Amazon is just not catching quickly enough and it is literally undermining the honest US sellers, customers, and the Amazon platform right out from under our feet. It will become such a problem at some point that no one will be able to sell or buy with confidence for fear of bad product, or your seller account being hacked, threatened, or disabled.
