WHEN LOVE PASSES

We as humans are incomplete without LOVE ????

It's a primary driving force

Wars have been started over LOVE and certainly over the lack of it

When a person or pet we love passes, we are immediately struck with grief, which I proclaim to be the most profound form of suffering

It comes from the complete attachment we form with those whom we love

In the case of pets and children it is literally love at first sight

It then deepens to such a level that it transforms our being

Over the years that feeling is so constant that part of us is fooled into believing it will never end, even though we know that not to be true

So when that passing occurs we are permanently changed once again

The shock of loss forces us to acknowledge that we will never see them again again until we too pass (IF WE ARE LUCKY)

Within that reality is our decision on how we proceed

Either as a permanent self-proclaimed victim or as an eternally grateful SOUL for having had them in our lives

Our baby MIMI went over the bridge this week and we are profoundly sad, but even more GRATEFUL for having had her in our lives to begin with

This isn't about seeking sympathy

It's about embracing the best in what life offers and understanding that there will always be suffering in our lives and how we proceed that is our sole responsibility
