What I Do as a Fiduciary Financial Advisor
This may even be a variation of a question I get after meeting someone new in a social setting. Ha. Speaking of that, after finding out what I do. Often times I’ll get a question back along the lines of:
I’ve got $50k or 100k or 200k. What should I do with it?
What do you think about bitcoin or cannabis stocks (or another idea that may be the next get rich quick gamble of the day)
What do you think about China, Trump, National Debt etc?
So, what DO I do?
I am a financial planner primarily for a select group of professionals who among other things aspire to a work-optional lifestyle.
We have developed and refined a process that puts all of the pieces of the financial planning and risk management puzzle together.
But what do I really do?
I could give you a laundry list of things we “do” as part of our ongoing engagement with our clients, some would apply to you now, some would apply to you later some maybe never. Either way, I don’t want to bore you with that list.
I really can’t tell you for sure what I will DO for you, until I find out more about you, and what you value?
Here’s what I work towards every day with those that rely on us for their financial planning needs.
· Give you confidence that you are on track towards meeting your financial goals.
· Plan for the unexpected so you can have financial confidence
· When life takes turn, let us be a resource and a guide and remove some of the stress and emotion.
· Help prioritize spending between things like debt, retirement, education.
· Through tax planning and our trusted tax partners, let’s not pay more than our fair share in taxes.
Remember the game Tetris? In the game, the different shaped pieces started falling very slowly in the beginning and your job was a arrange them in a way that they fit the best as the landed.
Time only seems to accelerate as we get older and like in Tetris, the pieces seem to come at as quicker all the time.
Our process looks ahead to a time when a piece or two will come at us that doesn’t quite fit nice and neatly. Clients benefit from the confidence that comes from a sound plan that looks ahead and anticipates those moments when life takes an abrupt turn.
How do you feel about your current plan when you put your head on your pillow at night?
How will you feel when life and or the market take that next turn?
For us it’s all about our process.
If I can help, just let me know.
