When Life gets Tough, it's the Best Time to Show Up... Authentically.

Do you find it hard to live authentically, truly embrace showing up each day, and bringing your light to the world? Are you anxious, nervous, fearful of everything happening around you? 

When you become consumed by things outside of your control, it becomes impossible to stay grounded. When you aren't grounded, you feel angry, upset, and frustrated. This cycle causes more darkness in the world.

One of my favorite quotes of all time is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His advocacy during the civil rights movement was met with negativity and fear-mongering. But he knew that in order for us to see change, we had to stay in a place to bring more light to the world.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

If you want the world to be a better place, it starts with you. Yes, it's hard. Yes, it takes a lot of energy to show up and bring your light. Yes, it requires you to be authentic. But your children deserve it, you deserve it and the world deserves it. 

Society has taught us that fighting and violence is the answer but I want to ask you, where has that gotten us? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I want to encourage you to look to the spiritual and civil leaders of the past and present and let's consider a different approach. In this time of uncertainty, one thing is certain, fear creates more fear. Love creates more love.
