When the Lawless are on Trial

As Republican senators blatantly show their disregard for the impeachment trial the reaction of those trying to preserve democracy also is noteworthy. When an airtight and totally damning case is set forth as it has been they actually expect the accused to show shock or contrition or some sign that they know they have been caught....

Is there any doubt these are insurrectionists on trial, remorseless people who are determined to overthrow our government? They have been caught in flagrant violation of multiple laws and standards of civilized behavior, but they don't care because what they want is the only law that matters to them. Barbarians at the gates indeed.....
