When was the last time you Paused?????
Tamara Beckford MD, MS
Helping women go from stressed and carrying extra weight to light, relaxed, and in control.
You have seen the statistics, 52% of teachers K-12 are burned out. In addition, 79% of engineers and a whopping 83% of software developers all suffer from burnout!?
This is a problem. Here is a tip that will help.
Last week, I shared that burnout is multifactorial; however, I want to empower others with a tool to prevent or even lessen burnout.?
That is why I developed the P.A.U.S.E. Technique.
This quick but powerful method incorporates acknowledging and addressing said stressor—then doing something about it now!
P: Pause
A: Acknowledge your stressor
U: Understand how the stressor is affecting you (palpitations, short-tempered, tension in your shoulders, lack of mental clarity)
S: Set a selfcare goal ( two minutes of deep breathing exercise, yoga, meditation, walking, journaling, etc.)
E: Execute the goal
The next time you find your stress level rising.?
Take a second and P.A.U.S.E.
I love hearing from you.?
Reply and let me know when was the last time you paused.
Always wishing you the best,
Dr. Beckford.
Whenever you're ready, there are two ways I can help you:
1. Book me to speak at your next company retreat or conference.
2. Book me to do an organizational selfcare workshop.

2 年Love this ?? It's so hard to Pause sometimes, but when we do, it makes all the difference. The acknowledgement piece is truly, for me, where my power to soothe is... If I can't say/see whats happening, I can't change it. Thanks you for sharing! ??

2 年I love how simple this is, Tamara Beckford MD, MS. Self-care can happen all day, every day.
Life is too short not to enjoy it every single day, at least for a brief moment or second in time.. to try your best to feel alive and well breathe as a good sign of life sent from the universe..
2 年Love ?? it. Have a great Sunday evening and a good ?? week ahead!
