When was the last time you left the past behind?
Matt Sidwell
I help businesses to amplify their sales and marketing impact with our 'Part-Time Marketing Department' solution. Scale effortlessly without hiring a full-time in-house team.
In this world of non-linear change, the past is often no longer prologue, and the future can be murky at best.
But, if you take a careful look at what's going on in your life and business, you may find that there's reason for optimism!
Words like service and contribution begin to be more attractive than words like profit and gain.
If you're in business, profit is important. You won't be in business long without it (unless you have a rich uncle). But profit is just a measure of efficiency, not an assurance of effectiveness.
Somewhere beyond increasing profit and sales lies the real reason you're in business in the first place, and it's up to you to figure it out
Please consider that your past is over, and you are ready for change.
This isn't an objective; it's a fact. Your past IS over and you can't do anything about it except let go of it and, when you do, you ARE ready for something new.
Your present will be filled with challenges, maybe more than you think you can handle.
BUT, there's one secret that most successful people discover BEFORE they become successful; it's that you can always be better and do more than you're currently doing. A full plate of challenges is really an opportunity to discover this for yourself!
So, when was the last time you left the past behind and set time aside to plan for now and the future?
Co-creating accessible and inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. The views expressed on this account are my own.
6 年Well expressed, Matt. The willingness to evolve is so important. After reflecting on some of my own experiences, I'm reframing how I view them, and focusing on what I learned and overcame, rather than wallowing or staying stuck. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.?
