When the impossible becomes possible...

Years ago, running a mile in less than 4 minutes was thought to be impossible…

That was until May 6, 1954, when a British University student did it.

His name was Roger Bannister. Somehow, someway, Bannister did something no-one believed was possible.

And the best part?

He was just a student at the time.

He didn't have professional running coaches, an in-house nutritionist, a big-name sponsoring him with the latest running gear, or even a special training regimen.

Here's the craziest part... Bannister did something NO ONE thought was humanly possible.

Then, just 45 days later…

Someone BEAT his new record. And within mere months of that, dozens and dozens of athletes cracked the 4-minute mile barrier.

Nowadays high school kids run sub-four minute miles like clockwork.

I watched the same thing happen years ago when Travis Pastrana pulled off the first-ever backflip on a motocross bike in the X-games.

At the time, it was thought to be impossible. But he did it.

Within months, countless others were doing the same. The following year at least half the riders were doing some variation of a backflip. Now, it's pretty much a requirement even to be considered for such a stage.

There are plenty more examples I can give. But what's most important is knowing the changes that allow for this type of breakthrough change.

It comes down to 2 main things… Belief & conviction.

These are two of the most overlooked aspects of building a profitable and sustainable coaching business.

Without them?

It's going to be a bumpy ride.

First, you have to believe it's possible for you.

Then you have to have the conviction and drive to get out of your comfort zone and do what's necessary to make it happen. To face your fears and JUST DO IT.

#nikeswoosh haha

It's time to break your 4-minute mile... or do your motocross backflip.

Whichever analogy you prefer :-)
