When I Live in Gratitude I Live in Abundance

When I Live in Gratitude I Live in Abundance

Today is my 48th birthday.?

As I was journaling this morning, it dawned on me that it would be fun to focus my morning gratitude practice on my 47th year on the planet.?

My gratitude practice started in the Otisville federal prison library, and 7 plus years later, I still don't miss a day. It's that valuable to me.?

Here it is:

  • I fell in love.
  • I ran a successful Kickstarter Campaign to fund professionally self-publishing my book.
  • I was a guest on so many incredible podcasts; thank you to everyone who had me on.?
  • My family and friends never cease to amaze me.?
  • My coaching business exceeded my expectations.
  • I spent more time than I can remember in nature and experienced some truly magical places.
  • I spent the summer in CT and connected with what's important to me and how I want to live.
  • I held my book in my hands for the 1st time. Probably the most joyous and emotional moment of my life.?
  • That same book reached people who needed it.?
  • That same book hit #1 in several categories on Amazon.
  • I was featured as a contributor in The Altucher Report.
  • I was featured as a contributor in the Intelligent Change newsletter.
  • I've connected with so many new and incredible people.?
  • I traveled- my 1st real trip in 8 years.?
  • My TEDx broke 100K views and connected with some people who needed to hear it.?
  • I went to a car show! Cars are a lifelong passion of mine. COVID shut down all the shows last year.
  • I grew closer to one of my best friends.?
  • I've written over 18 million words in Grammarly since 2016. That's the equivalent of 340 50K word books.?
  • My relationship ended. This may strike you as strange to include, but here's why I did:

Because I was able to spend time with a genuinely amazing human being.?

Because I was able to experience the greatest gift of being alive - love.?

Because I learned so much about myself and how I want to live my life.?

And I included the breakup because of my tattoo on my left forearm: Amor Fati - Love of fate.?

Nietzsche explains Amor Fati more beautifully than I ever could,

"My formula for greatness in a human being is?amor fati: that one wants nothing to be different, not forward, not backward, not in all eternity. Not merely bear what is necessary, still less conceal it… but love it."

I'm sure I missed a bunch of things, but I'll wrap with this one:

  • I started my 48th year, committing to (2) big audacious goals that will probably take a couple of years to achieve.?

And that makes me wickedly happy.?

Happy birthday man! Hope you have a wonderful day Craig! ????
