When Goddess smiles at you in dream

Goddess Durga is one of the avatar of Goddess Shakthi, and She is regarded the most ferocious form of the Goddess. She takes the Durga avatar to put an end to all the demons and thus upholding dharma. Goddess Durga is always revered for her immense strength and her war skills. You dreaming of Durga may mean that, you are going through a phase where you are either physically or mentally weak. So she gave you Darshan conveying that she is always with you, so you don't need to worry regarding anything. As a mother she is protecting you.

Our elders have always told us to chant “ Om Durgaye Namaha “, this mantra makes us strong and helps us to regain our inner strength. The very first ever dream I had when I was hardly a toddler was me floating around my home until I happen to pass through a picture of Mother Kali. Next moment I was slowly being drawn towards her until her face appeared so big I felt like I was inside that picture. For that, I used to fear her, especially her gaping tongue. I have that picture in my home. Funny thing is I only saw Mother and didn't realise the great Lord Shiva beneath her. Later I realised the meaning, the very essence of existence. That we can be one with the supreme lord and after everything is over, we can unite with our supreme parents.

Gods and Goddess often give “darshan” to those who have similar “attitude” to themselves (which is why Hindus often name their children by the Gods/Goddess’ names). You probably have the same ferociousness, strength, valor and dignity that depicted by the Goddess Durga and therefore, you have obtain Her darshan. I believe She is your Ishta-devi (Goddess of the Choice) and therefore, you should pray to Her more. It is like we -are think about Devi all the time. It is any way a good sign to go ahead with search minds with bhakti. Our life is to experience the love and happiness. Just sync with that concept.

I had similar dream but with Narasimha swami devata is sitting posture looks bit aged and giving some trimaduram. Still not able to figure out what is it,..It is not always with all the people to see divine nature in dream. Just enjoy and be with that. Deep inside your heart, you read the goddess as an epitome of power and strong will. Hence the dream is trying to put in front a lingering weakness. Also the Dussehra and Navratri are approaching, and there is a high possibility that you have been thinking about the festival and dreams are just elevation of consciousness and memories. If chanting her Mantra or praying her is what that brings peace, go ahead and pray more.

Dreams are just products of our imagination. Many think dreams have meanings and believe complete strangers here on social media can somehow interpret or explain them. I don’t blame people for asking; dream interpretation has been around for thousands of years! And dreams can at times be really strange. Many think dreams are more than just the way your brain processes information while you’re sleeping. Dream interpretation is just part of a spiritual belief system unsupported by meaningful evidence.

When you are awake, you are, without being aware of it, constantly receiving a barrage of information, sights and sounds, feelings, etc. that go straight to the brain. At certain times while you are sleeping, it all gets sorted, filed away as memories, or discarded, resulting in your imagination going wild. The brain makes a narrative, tells stories in your sleep, stories which can be very complicated indeed but may not make any sense. This happens mostly during the REM (rapid eye movement) stage of sleep, which corresponds exactly as one is dreaming. It may even happen when you think you are wide awake. This is something all mammals experience.

However, the Divine Mother doesn’t appear in one’s dream so easily. For the significant part of my life I have loved Her (Vatsalya Bhav of course) the most and have craved Her darshan in my dreams on so many occasions but never once has my my brain produced Her image or Her voice in my sleep. Or even if it has, I don’t remember any of it which is truly regrettable. However I doubt I’ve ever seen or heard Her in my head since I am kind of good at remembering pleasant dreams as well as gruesome nightmares. Now let me present a paradox. I know we mere mortals are no one to decide whom She speaks to in dreams and whom She shuns or puts his devotion to severe test (which She does very often) but it piques one’s interest if She actually connects with someone who doesn’t even know much about Her or Her other forms, let alone worship Her.

Now here’s a self-proclaimed Bhakt of the Great Goddess who has never managed to hear Her voice or See Her in his dreams but to his dismay, happened to stumble across a couple of followers of different religions having actually connected with Her in their dream. Strange right? Then let me tell you what I had come across. Of course one has the liberty of choosing to believe or dismiss the accounts, notwithstanding, they do goad my interest to a great extent.

In this dream I was taking a medium-sized very old wooden decorated box through what looked like Customs when you enter another country. I didn't know that there was anything inside the box and was very surprised when a man exclaimed that he found a precious figurine that he said belonged to me. I looked at this figure, about 10 inches tall and it had a face of Ivory and many arms that were loaded with silver weapons. The man told me that the figurine was mine and I was afraid of the power it held, so I started to walk away but the figurine somehow attached itself to the hem of my dress so I took the goddess figurine with me.
