When following your Passion turns out to be a Wrong Choice

It’s not always greener on the other side.

Yes.

You get to do things you're actually excited about if you follow your passion.?

However, not everyone is able to succeed by following their heart's desire.?

To be successful and make things work, it is not enough to follow your passion blindly.

? Being passionate about something doesn’t mean that you’re good at it

? Following your passion is a luxury which the privilege can usually afford

? Your passion might not be goal-oriented

? Finding your passion will sometimes force you to rebuild your career from scratch

So before making any decisions, you must first identify the following:?

? To begin, you must have that strong vision and mission. You should determine what you care about, what motivates you, and what change you want to bring about in the world.

? Second, reassess your strengths. You should figure out what are the things that you can do well. This way, you can have a more achievable goal or action plan for success.?

? Third, you must pursue mastery. You should determine what skills are valued by the market in which you want to work, what skills you can and want to excel at in comparison to your competitors, and how you can combine the two.?

We are constantly reminded to do the things that we love so we can feel fulfilled and happy. But doing ‘what we love’ is not enough especially if it would make you constantly worry about paying your bills.

What matters is that you may do at least one thing that makes you feel alive, something that you are good at and has a positive impact with people around you —- it doesn’t have to necessarily come from your passion."
