When fishermen can’t go to the sea, they mend their nets.

This is one of my favorite quotes, it applies to so many disciplines in general but in today's context, I would say it applies to almost all except those who are trying to protect the lives or those maintaining the law and order. I think we all know the context now, yes! I am referring to COVID-19 pandemic situation. This is no time to venture outside to show how brave you are, this is the time to sit back and mend your ways. How granted we all have taken so many things, our family and friends. How granted we have taken the nature, I think we have taken her for a ride.

Now, the COVID-19 situation is no less than a storm for all of us. But, since this is a first for our generation, we don't know the danger. We think it's brave to weather the storm, well not this one at least. Then what are we supposed to do? I suggest You wait. Fishermen see the storms very often, what do they do? When fishermen can't go to the sea, they mend their nets.

Time to mend your nets, here’s what I think we can do while we are under LOCKDOWN !

• Rethink: Your go-to-market strategy may not be valid post Covid situation. Your products may need new features, your services may need new delivery model, your pricing model will have to change. You have to re-calibrate your team size and their speed, do all the thinking while you still have the time.
• Reskill: Things are about to change - from conventional to digital. Irrespective of the domain you are from, your job skills have to be upgraded. Align yourself with the new market needs and new ways of getting things done.
• Recharge: Last but not least, don't forget to rejoice, you will need lot of energy.
