When faced with a severe fuel shortage, one company turned a crisis into a catalyst for change, revolutionizing the energy landscape in Lebanon.

Between 2021 and 2022, Lebanon grappled with a crippling shortage of fuel resources, hampering heating and mobility for countless communities. Rather than viewing this as a setback, IGT saw an opportunity. We developed an innovative scheme for treating used cooking oil and producing biodiesel, providing a sustainable energy source for heating and transportation.
