When does a leader get to take credit?
Patrice & Associates of Rochester Hills

True leaders do not take credit for the positive results in their departments. Instead, they pass the credit to their team. Although this sounds unfair, it is the best attitude for a leader to take. Superiors appreciate a manager that can motivate a team. They understand that a success by one or all of the team is a reflection on the leader. Therefore, taking credit is harmful as it demoralizes the team.
This changes when you are writing your resume. This is when you get to take credit for all the successes of your team.
Why?
Because you created the environment and supplied the resources the team needed. And after all, isn't this what management is all about?
Patrice & Associates, a free service to qualified candidates, works with you to coach you through every step of your job search from resume writing and forward so you can have confidence in presenting the real you. Contact Patrice & Associates be email to [email protected].
