When Do You Shine
Pressure in and of itself is not a bad thing.
It forces us to get out of our comfort zones, do things that we are not used to, make experiments, keep learning.
The problem with pressure comes if it’s too much and not in balance with times without pressure.
So, the next time when you’re under pressure, try to become aware of two things:
One, the pressure is only as high as you make it. It comes from whichever standard you hold yourself accountable to. If you disconnect the outcome of whatever you have to do under pressure from your self-worth, you can take some of it off, maybe even enjoy it.
Two, pressure is what converts coal into diamonds.
If you give yourself an opportunity to shine, if you allow it to yourself, most probably you will.
