When did you wow yourself the last time?

When did you wow yourself the last time?

What I mean by “wow”? I mean that moment when you created something SO great that you got the chills. Glitter in your eyes. A smile that would make you win a Julia Roberts impersonation competition. That moment you were REALLY proud of yourself.

What I mean by “created”? Created in contrast to consumed. What I observe almost daily is that many of us consume a lot – clothes, events, cars, beauty treatments etc. Especially in one of my favorite cities of this planet “Do-buy!”…erm, I mean Dubai.

Why did you stop dancing or being a choreographer? What happened to your professional camera which you bought during the end of your student life? What happened to that child in you who invented all sorts of super sophisticated mini robots? And didn′t you tell me once that one of your biggest dreams was to write a book one day?

What happened to all of these plans?

Why did we stop creating? Why did we stop being CREATivE? -′Cos some people might judge us/our work? `Cos we are “not good enough”? ′Cos we are too busy? Busy doing what? Being busy? Working for an employer you do not identify yourself with anyway? If you do not find the time to follow your passion, you have a time-management problem, my dear. Or maybe you are also setting the “wrong” priorities…

Well… I am personally convinced that you will end up being very frustrated one day if you suppress your passion (for too long). Not only frustrated. Depressed. I have seen it happening. Over and over again. And I decided to go out and ask questions in regards to this topic. So that this madness ends one day.

So yes, before you go to a brunch, shopping or “hanging out” next time, maybe ask yourself if you do not want to look for that dusty brushes and colours in your attic.

It might be life-changing.

And you might come a tiny step closer to that inner peace and happiness we are all looking for…

When I wowed myself the last time? – Today. By finally launching a Blog. A dream I had for a looong time…
