● When I realised I just need a close group of 3–4 friends instead of 30–40 friends.

● When i realised enjoying a movie with your family at home gives me a infinity of love.

● When I realised I'm privileged than many more in this world

● When I was wiping tears from my parents eyes while bottling up my emotions.

● When I was the one giving philosophical lessons to bear this life to my parents.

● When I started crying silently in washrooms and in blankets than crying out loud to grab everyone's attention.

● When I started hiding my emotions.

● When I started solving the biggest problems of life by aligning them with the matter of life and death.

● When I realised life is not fair but you'll still have to live.

● When I realised your mom is bestest friend you can have from the time when I used to hate mom for petty things.

● When you realise everyone is honest till the time he/she gets the opportunity.

● When you realise society is eating you.

● When I realised other's view point doesn't matter at all in a long run.

● When I stopped explaining myself to people and walk away. You don't need to answer everyone.

● When i started developing empathy for others.

● When I started spending more time on quora than on other social media.

● When I started enjoying the ordinary.

● When I started loving spending more time with kids and elders.

● When I started writing answers for myself.

● When I stopped pleasing everyone.

● When I learnt to speak No.

● When i started to form my own opinions.

● When i started empathising towards poors and LGBT.

● When i stopped living for myself and started living for parents.

● When I realised it is Not mandatory to leave food to express your anger. (I used to practice this ritual a lot to irritate mom… there was a time when I went for 10 days without food)

● When I realised forever is the biggest lie.

● From a responsibility for others to the one who carries a responsibilities, we grew up.

● From smiling on seeing toys to smiling so that others smile, we grew up.

● From a carefree soul to a bothering soul, we grew up.

● From the ones who were stubborn to the ones who understand the situations, we grew up.

● From a child to a teenager to an adult, we grew up.

● From the ones who thought when would we grow up to the ones who want to be a child again, we grew up.

● From ones who used to hate Tinda and Ghiya to the ones who eat anything made by mom quietly, we grew up.

● When you start washing your own clothes rather than keeping it for your mom.

● When you go for groceries shopping and get to know the prices of rice per kg.

● When you wake up in the morning and find that there is no one to wake you up like when you were school.

● When you start traveling in bus or local trains alone ..not in your dad's car .

● When we start facing the problems we used to see your parents facing.

● When your name starts being called as maam .

● When you are ready to pay your own expenses.

● When you switch from Facebook to Quora.

● When you stop making girlfriends just for time pass.

● When you mean what you say.

● When you start thinking before speaking.

● When you go to the fruit market for getting just 3 bananas .

● When you start saving your money ( not for buying anything but for gifting your mom dad )

● When you visit your parents with little gifts which they needed.

● When you transfer 100rs daily to your brother so that he don't ask for money from someone.

● When you order food from a different city to your mom when your mom is tired enough.

● When you start calling your mom rather than ignoring.

● When you start helping rather than asking for help.

● When you start planning for marriage ( not because you are so deeply in love but just to have a basic idea of future )

● When you start donating your old clothes.

● When you start appreciating others.

● Somewhere between broken pencils to erased dreams, we all grew up.

● Somewhere between waving to the plane to waving from the plane, we grew up.

● Somewhere between crying going to school to crying leaving the school, we grew up.

● For me; when the milk cost 16 rupees a litre to now when it’s 55.

● From waiting for the holidays to end and meet friends; to longing for a single holiday out of your responsibilities.

● When the friendships were crystal clear, with no bias and no trust issues to now; where everyone is untrustworthy and unpredictable.

● Time when you start finding kids irritating ;).

● Kitchen sets, Cars, Barbies and cartoons start seeming stupid.

● When the world seems wrong and your decisions seem right.

● When you become self centric; all you do is love spending time with yourself.

● From crying for toys in childhood to crying for useless people in adulthood!

● When you understand that no one loves you more than your parents. No one!

● You act mature; when you outgrow both puberty and adolescence you wake up and get into senses!

● Transition from school to college, from pen to calculator.

● That phase of unemployment when every person you adored mocked at you.

● Finally transition from college to career.

● From pocket money to getting credit for the first salary.

● When you abused your boss in front of your best friend and next day your boss called you in his/her office.

● That one-sided love which permanently broke a piece from your heart.

● Buying groceries and fuel from your own pocket.

● You tasted that cold liquid which looked like urine and you liked it.

● That death of a loved one which you couldn't digest for years.
