When To Consider Getting a Dedicated Internet Line

When should you consider getting a dedicated Internet line?

1) If your company utilizes the following: Voice over IP phone systems, remote workers, if you have an Internet-based security system, or other upload heavy activities

2) If your Internet speed is hit or miss (with a dedicated line you can get service level agreements, and not share a connection)

3) If you have maxed out your current available Internet Service Provider's offerings

4) If you would like quicker response times from your Internet Service Provider

Cons for selecting a dedicated line:

1) You need a long-term contract because high construction costs are typically spread out over monthly payments so that you're not paying out a huge chunk all at once.

2) You will have higher overall costs

3) Unless you have tons of money to burn, you will want to know you'll be at that location for a while. So, if you're growing like crazy, you might need to stop and consider things a bit more heavily.

4) Is not an instant swap situation- again, this requires construction and planning and may take a while to have up and going smoothly
