When Confronting An Invisible Man, Blindness Is A Superpower
Twice a day I am on the train with people I do not know. Very defined time box of 30 minutes, completely sealed from the rest of my life by the gates of two trains stations. My challenge is to think of an idea, take a picture, write the headline and text, design the cover and publish an interesting post… while I am on the train.
You know me, everything must be branded, so “THE DAILY TRAINER” Is born.
This week was special thanks to the people I have met and write about. One of them was utterly blind ??????? (post 187). Two others ware "Invisible People" cleaning and service people, taking care of the station for us (Posts 183 and 189).
I had spent a lot of time thinking about a meeting between these two, as the only one treating an "invisible man" like he treats any other person in the station, is the blind man. Literally, he doesn't see the difference between people.
I have taken this situation one step further, into the world of superheroes ?????♂?. Being invisible is an excellent superpower... unless you are confronting a blind man. That made me think about work and business.
The insight that For The Blind, the Invisible-Man Is Just Another Passenger, made me reevaluate my brand positioning and marketing offers. Now I make sure they are giving me an edge and suit my customer's special "powers". That they are indeed providing me an advantage in the market.
Note: When confronting an invisible man, blindness is a superpower.

I got used to smartphone people, looking at their screen while they (think they are) doing other things, but this guy with the book is winning "the contest." Is it a novel, a detective book maybe a science fiction... I wonder what his life story is.
Are you fascinated by your own work and in life story?
? If So please share your story in a comment below.
? If not, then What are you going to do about it?

After a day of work, followed by an hour of workout, I'm finely reaching the train and see this guy. He is sitting with his smartphone instead of providing service... what do you say?
When we are in our comfortable offices, taking a coffee break, it is ok. Everyone needs a break. When the train employee is taking 5 minutes break, he is considered to be lassy and a symbol of the railway inefficiency.
I have seen this guy in the morning, running up and down the platform. I have seen him on some other occasions doing a great job. It was "not interesting," and I didn't bother to write a post about it.
You get my point, don't you?
At work and with family ask yourself:
? Do I pay attention to people only when they stop working? Overlooking what they have accomplished so far, and how was their day?
? Am I supporting and encouraging them at all times?
? Do I allow personal time on the job?

A year ago, on the date, I bought my first electric scooter. It turned out to be a great experience, totally improving the last-mile challenge and making the train my preferred choice to work and back even overtaking my car. That would not be the case without the scooter. Exactly a year and 2,518km later, I have this new scooter. I hope we will have a great journey together.
At work, and in projects, The cost-effective last-mile solutions can affect the relevancy of millions of dollars service. Also, in your daily tasks, you can do all the hard work and then fail on the last mile. I find the last-mile solution to be the deal maker.
So my question is: How do you deal with your last-mile challenges? Do you keep your solutions well maintained and new, or do you overlook them focusing on the big tasks?

Do you use manuals? Are you listening to success stories podcasts? How about recommendations? Are you looking at the track record of a new company asking to work with you? You know what, how about the bible?
Tracks will always take you to a place someone else has been before, so in a way, they are a bad choice for creativity & innovation. Never the less, practical creativity and innovation must be connected to something so tracks can lead you to the starting point of creativity & innovation, or you can use creativity & innovation to connect between different tracks.
Whenever you need to do repetitive tasks or to have some kind of a log so you (and others) can "go back" learn from the success or correct premade mistakes, and have some #Kaizen in your operation or life, laying tracks and maintaining them is a must.
If you want to stay updated, you will keep track.
If you need someone to come and help, you need to leave tracks behind.
Stay on Track
And have a great day.

You might think that all train stations are the same. Some may be larger, other more locals, but they are all train stations. Never the less, it seems like some stations have a larger "Ego." Take this one, for example, TLV-University. It is not just a train station; it is a cathedral.
At work, how do you deal with Ego-driven personas? Can you spot them? Do you build "cathedrals" in their honor? Do you confront their ego? Or, like in any cathedral, you feel small and mortal?
? 187: Morning. December, 19th. 2019:
We all have blind spots. Some are more obvious than others. Some are easy to ignore and put aside. Others are a challenge we must face and learn to deal with. Keeping our goals high while acknowledging our blindness is forcing us to trust others. Do trustful people surround you, or do you put your trust in the kindness of strangers? Will you "get on a train you have never seen?" meaning: Act and commit based on advice only?
At work, in any project we will ever be a part of, we will always have blind spots: It might be a distance market; An appearance of a new competitor. It can be language or cultural differences. Acknowledge your "blindness" and have someone dedicated to updating you on what they see. Trust them to lead you through your blind spot.

I always find it funny. These people are waiting for the train, but as it enters the station, they play hard to get talking and looking at their smartphone (like the train cares). 30 seconds later, they started chasing the train car door as it stopped at some distance from their location.
To some extent, in business, and sometimes even in relationships, it is important to know how to play hard to get. It is an essential skill that needs to be balanced, and it takes some time to master it. After all, you are interested and do not want to find yourself out of the game by mistake... You are just playing hard to get; we all are.

There are some occupations that the people working in them are invisible. I do not talk about some glamours undercover intelligence work. I talk about the people like the guy in blue, the one nobody notices on the right side of the picture. We tend to ignore the loyal service people, doing essential tasks we will never do. As I think of it, they are usually in the field of cleaning and sanitation. We disrespect them. We see the results of their work, (Many times complain about it). What we don't see, are the people; they are invisible.
At work, do you see the people around you? Do you pay attention and respect those how are doing the essential tasks you don't want to deal with?
? 190. Afternoon, 19th. 2019:
As this week reaches its end and retiring, I thought that the weekend is the retirement plan of the week. Two last days, that if planned correctly are a joy of quality time with family and friends.
According to the US government, Americans live an average of 20 years after retirement. Do they have the money to maintain their lifestyle?
How much of your income is invested in your retirement plan? Have you ever made a 20 years plan, and if so, is it adequately financed?
Let's say you will be retiring in 10 to 40 years from now, can you even imagine the world you will be retiring to?
Enjoy the weekend.
