When Will Competitors Learn That Service Is Key?

We all know that great customer service is often the difference between securing new business and building longstanding relationships, but what happens when this commitment to customer care is completely ignored?

Europcar in Belfast today fulfilled an urgent request by a valued new customer to provide no less than 16 commercial vehicles at very short notice.

Having already placed an order with an alternative supplier, this highly reputable local business was somewhat surprised to learn several days later that the original supplier was no longer able to fulfil the order, choosing instead to divert the requested vehicles to an existing and seemingly "more important" customer.

Needless to say, our new customer was somewhat unhappy with the originally appointed provider but delighted that Europcar was able to assist and ensure that their business did not suffer in the wake of our competitor's u-turn.

As it turns out, not only was Europcar's service infinitely better but our rates were also significantly cheaper than this nationally renowned vehicle hire competitor. We will not reveal the competitor's identity to save them further embarrassment - although our new customer is understandably less inclined to withhold this information for obvious reasons!
