When Companies lose their way...

There will come a time in every company's life-span in which they will lose the vision that their customers and employees should be partners in success - true business partnership that starts with trust and ends in mutual respect and admiration. Unfortunately, there are leaders out in the business world who pound quantity over quality and when quality is recognized, they pound how long it took to get that quality. They'll pound it to the point where the success is then perceived as a failure. Business process improvement is not just about improving time-frames and when money comes in the door. That's a small percentage of it. How good is a partnership when you can't retain them due to a lapse in trust?

Business Process Improvement is about earning trusted partnerships, keeping that trust and recognizing success every step of the way. It's about creating win-win situations despite processes in place, people making decisions (or not making decisions) and improving upon broken employee moral. It's about the Business within (yours) and the Business coming in (theirs and yours)!

Executive leadership needs to take the monocles off and put on a pair of nice VR lenses so that they may see the full breadth and scope of a true, long-lasting, genuinely trusted partnership with their customers and their employees. Employees leave poor management, not their company. Clients leave a company because of poor management.

What's the common denominator here? Executive leadership trickling down decisions that foster growth and partnership which has a side effect of quality or Executive Leadership trickling down decisions that just foster growth which has a side effect of disaster. Which do you choose?
