When it comes to supply chains, what is visibility and why is it so important?

Let's take the analogy of crossing a road.
Approaching a crossroad, my eyes provide me with visibility. I can see a car approaching, yet I need to be able to understand what I see and what it means. I need to understand that I have to stop. Now, if I have the ability to process this thought, I need to be able to give my legs the command to stop, until the car has passed and I can cross to the other side safely.
Supply chain visibility is important, but it's not enough.
Logivice, our unique platform sees what's going on and analyzes it. We see the wrong item was picked, we understand that this can lead to a mistake, so we stop the process and we ensure it's fixed. We see a lack of inventory to fill an order, we look at the closest available stock and we pull it from there. We see that the SLA is at risk, so we ship NFO and more.
We see and we act. While visibility is great, we don't believe in "what you see is what you get." We believe in "what you do with what you see." How fast you "capture the picture" and how fast you react to what you see.
