When it comes to ERP and supply chain planning system implementations, save time and money by getting your ducks in a row before you start.

ERP and planning tool implementations are a big deal. Often born from a desire to increase visibility across an organisation by harmonising systems and standardising ways of working across multiple geographies / categories or perhaps after a series of acquisitions. The benefits case is clear, improved decision taking, increased agility, leveraging scale, optimising the end to end supply chain network, the promise of better demand forecasting etc. So no wonder, businesses can be in a hurry to get started and get it done ...
But ...
They can also be resource heavy. Not just internal resources, also the system provider and perhaps a system integrator. The daily burn rate / cost for these resources is huge. In my experience, extracting, cleansing and readying data to be fit for purpose can lead to major delays but with the meter running .... these delays can be extremely expensive. My advice, get your data in some degree of order before the big kick off.
