Do you do it for the money, or do you do it to solve a problem? Uri Levine , whom I admire, always says, "Fall in love with the problem, not with the solution." Everyone might have different interpretations of reality when it comes to decoding his master sentence.
Here is mine:
When you become obsessed with fixing a problem, you become an expert on the problem. Therefore, all the time you put into the solution is much more efficient because you can process solutions that will work quickly. If you weren't an expert on the matter, you would have more failed attempts, taking more time, resources, and energy.
We can break down a problem into a few parts:
With these four inputs, you can technically start to delve into some innovative solutions. However, as we are human beings, when we try to find something, all the intrinsic motivations come up at the same time. For entrepreneurs, these are typically:
A) Is it a big enough problem to solve?
B) Does it offer a good risk-reward ratio?
C) Will I make money?
D) What will people think or say?
I want to share with you my findings.

Here are the answers:
A) Size is important, but it is not more important than your mental state. Solve it for yourself, and if it can scale, go for it. There are 8 billion people in the world.
B) Obviously, if you go into a niche within a niche inside another niche, your chances are smaller. You need to classify if it:
B.01) Can become a business
B.02) Can be a side hustle
B.03) Can be a hobby
C) Here I will be very straightforward: if you do it for the money, you will fail. Do it for the satisfaction of solving the problem and creating better value for those who are affected by the problem.
D) If you believe in what you are doing, have studied the matter, and can see the outcome, just accomplish your agenda and that’s it. Forget everyone else.
My own interpretation of value:
Value is what a person experiences doing business with you.
Value is how small the problem you solve becomes thanks to your product.
Value is how difficult life becomes without your product once you have used it.
Do you have a different perspective? I want to know!
