When Backlinking Becomes Automatic
Every time someone adds a link on their site to one of the pages on your firm's site, Google becomes slightly more interested in that page.
The more authority the linking site has, the more interested Google is in the page on your site.
Got it? Good.
Creating pages on your site that encourage more and more of these organic backlinks is a fantastic SEO strategy as it requires zero ongoing effort from your firm.
There is only one sure-fire way to generate those organic SEO backlinks...
Publishing high-value content on your website.
Your content strategy must be weighted toward producing educational and informative articles in relation to the keywords you want to rank for (ie your area of practice).
Basically, your website should become a knowledge hub.
It should become a valuable resource for the legal industry and your potential fee-paying clients.
Provide as much value as possible in your articles because the more valuable they are, the more backlinks that it will attract.
From other lawyers.
From legal educators.
From people in the industry.
So, really take your time writing content for your site.
THE STRATEGY
- Focus on publishing 1x high-value article per month
- Cover a specific area of practice that you specialise in
- Make it at least 2,500-words
- Share it around to get eyes on it

4 年Hi Josh, Great article + advice. When we post an article on our website, does it have to be 2,500+ words long? Is it about quantity of words or quality of content? Is it about including a large number of keywords in the article posted?
