Phones Are A Challenge

  • It's scary. Pick up the phone and call a stranger
  • Rejection can happen, but I will teach you appropriate objection prevention
  • Strangers with different personalities, never easy especially trying to sell a meeting
  • Dealing with an A type personality will be your biggest challenge on the phone

When we look at the phones from the outside looking in, it doesn't look that bad.

When we get on the phones, it doesn't even feel that bad either.

Until you stop making sales, lose money and face mass rejection.

That is when you step into a different ballgame.

That is what we will avoid in this newsletter.

If you want to avoid that, you are in the right place.

Let's look at some solutions to "the phone challenges in this next section."

Be Brave, Let's Gain Skills For Phone Confidence

  • First step to this problem is eliminating words most all other sales reps use like "checking in, circling back, following up, touching base"
  • Tonality: there is a time and place for each different tonality you should be using, I have always started off with a confused, neutral tone
  • Verbal pausing where you pace out your advanced questions to allow it to sink in more with your prospects, I pause often mid sentences
  • Verbal cues which allow you to bridge from question to question saying things like "ahhh" or "ohhhh" which allow it to flow like a natural conversations

Once you have these very basics down, you will start to notice something.

Prospects open up.

Talk time is longer.

Conversations feel better.

Once you understand and practice these basics, we will dive deeper into tonality.

Overall, just doing these simple practices will allow you to already be so far ahead of the game when it comes to being savvy on the phones.
