When all is said & done

A mystic owl

Both wise and free

Mesmerised by the pianos key

Spirited it makes its move

This owl knows how to get into the groove

The notes play as it taps away

Using its talons to make the sound

Theatrical showman style as the owl continues to play

A wonderful rendition

A marvellous display

His eyes of flame as the passion grows

This owl loves music and it clearly shows

Haunting tunes echo through the house

Hidden away amongst the shadows

Hides the lodging mouse

Away from the light shining through the window pane

And from the glossy reflections on the pianos frame

The owl chooses another key

Symphonic melodic mystery’s

And as if by magic sets himself free

A flash of light and the owls transformed

A dashing prince now reformed

Beating a curse that was placed on him

By a wicked witch

To teach him a lesson for his selfish ways

To earn his freedom and lose the wings

His task was to guess the tune she sings

After decades of being trapped as a bird

Flying over his terrain

He now walks the earth as a man

Ready to re stake his claim

To carry out his master plan

To wed the love of his life

To cherish time, love and vows

Unifying them together now

Holistically in harmony

As two finally become one

Learning from lifes lessons

When all is said and done x
