WhatsApp has unveiled a fact-checking service in India to combat fake news ahead of the national elections. The messaging giant has teamed up with local startup PROTO for ‘Checkpoint Tipline,’ which lets one check the veracity of messages, building a “database of rumours†over time. Users can relay a message on WhatsApp (+91-9643-000-888) and the service will respond if it’s real, bogus, misleading or contested, the Facebook-owned company said. WhatsApp, which has over 200 million users in India, has been battling criticism for its alleged inability to rein in fake news on its platform. Here's what people are saying.
NASA has called Mission Shakti a “terrible, terrible thing†for endangering the International Space Station. Industrialist Anand Mahindra tweeted that NASA’s accusation was a case of “pot calling the kettle blackâ€. Here's what people are saying.

The carrier’s board has approved a resolution plan that includes ?1,500 crore in emergency funding, but the amount hasn’t been disbursed as yet. Here's what people are saying.
