The course covers the differences in metal structures that lead to continuous and discontinuous yielding, and familiarises participants with important parameters like Young's modulus (E), yield strength, proof stress, UTS, ductility measures, engineering stress-strain, true stress-strain, and the work hardening index 'n'. Additionally, attendees will learn to distinguish between ductile, brittle, and inter-granular failures, equipping them with the knowledge to enhance their QA processes and product designs.
