What's Your Why?
I want you to ask yourself this Friday morning, why do you do what you do??
What makes you get up every morning and go and thrive in your day? What does your morning routine look like? Do you even have a routine? Do you bounce into each day or do you find yourself drifting??
It’s something I have thought about a lot over the last 2 months. I’ve been investing more time into learning and development. Asking questions. Probing this question to others. I’ve been jumping on courses in different sectors to get a multidimensional view of business.
Each sector at the heart of it all comes down to 'what's your why?'
So I’m asking again… what made you wake up this morning excited for your day? What has made you feel alive this week? What makes you turn up everyday??

Many of us struggle to understand our why because we aren’t willing to deep dive enough into our experiences. What shaped us to get where we are right now.
We all have a background, we all have frustrations, we all have experiences that make us who we are. In business, it’s important you pull on these to grow. To make you more human to clients, to make you a better leader, a better manager, a better seller, a more compelling marketeer.
A good exercise you can do is, What, Why, How.
On a big sheet of paper/white board or if your are fully in the digital age, a virtual white board. Create three columns with the below headings.

Within each column, write all the words associated with that heading.
For example under what you do, it could be:
Continue onto how:
Then under why you could put:
Let me know if you try this. It's a fun exercise to do with your team to understand more about what their understanding is for their role.
