What's Your Why?
A lot of people have big aspirations and dreams of becoming successful but if you look at the statistics, most people don’t. Why is that? Is it because they don’t have the right vision? Is it because they don’t have enough knowledge? Is it because they don’t have enough money to make more money? Or maybe is it because they don’t have a big enough network? All of these are factors on not achieving your dreams, however I think there’s a bigger question lurking behind closed doors.
To truly be successful you must have the strongest “Why” or at least have a deep understanding of your “Why”. This in my opinion is the biggest driving force on you achieving your dreams. Your “Why” should be your driving force on pursuing each goal you have. Your “Why” represents the core of who you are and why you do the things you do everyday of your life. From the moment you are born into this world to the moment you leave this world, you are living out your daily life according to your “Why”.
Now some people have a stronger “Why” then others. Some people’s “Why” is providing support for their families. Some people’s “Why” is to provide just enough to live a comfortable life. Other’s want to conquer the world or take over an industry with their business. Whatever it is, will determine how close you get to achieving your dreams.
Take a moment today for about an hour and honestly ask yourself, “What is my why”? However, this exercise wont provide any true results unless you are 100% honest with yourself. After you have honestly answered this question, ask yourself, “Is my why strong enough to achieve my dreams”? If it is then great. If not, the next step is figuring out what you can do to make your “Why” stronger.
Everyday you don’t know your “Why”, you are losing a fraction of the time you have left on achieving your dreams in this life.
Time is of the essence.
I recommend you get to it.
Sincerely,
David Brodine II
