What's in YOUR Profile? [Your Capital One Wallet ;)]

Remember those Capital One commercials? Who doesn't?!

"What's in your wallet?"

For some reason, I keep thinking of that ad - and LinkedIn. Of course, I have to adjust it a tad, to "What's in YOUR profile?"

You see, just like Capital One did so well, you need to tell a compelling and memorable story. It's your brand recognition.

In an Instant

Although those commercials have been on for years, the brand recognition is instant even after they're off the air.

Likewise, with people having a shorter attention span than goldfish, you have to make an impression fast. You have seconds.

Ironically, it takes some time to get your profile just right, so that it stands out fast. This often can seem to take way too long for people as they don't know how to sell themselves.

Why Hire YOU?

Once you have their attention, your goal is to sell yourself. But how do you do that? What are you selling?

I believe Liz Ryan calls this your Human Voice. I simply call it, Profiles That ??????!?.

No, this is not all about showing off. It's about telling the story of how YOU can solve the problems and needs of others. How YOU can add value for others.
