What's your marketing and sales strategy for 2018?
If you work for a METS company and part of your answer to the above question isn't: "leveraging our Austmine membership as much as possible", then you're missing a trick. At a time when the mining upswing appears to be well underway, it's never been more critical to ensure your activity across both sales and marketing departments is at its peak. Whether it's creating greater brand awareness, focusing on market education of your full service offering, or networking your socks off, 2018 should be a busy year for all.
Austmine is here to help ease the demands on sales and marketing teams, and provide you with access to miners (whether online or physically), a wider marketing reach, new content marketing platforms, a senior level network and information on the latest in trends, challenges and issues facing the industry. So what does that actually mean for our members in 2018?
Sales
- We have over 40 events around the country planned in 2018, most of which are only for our members and included in the cost of membership. These range in format, from sit down lunches, to casual networking drinks, to intensive workshop discussions, providing you diverse opportunities to meet with prospective clients and partners and understand their focuses.
- Our new one day Innovation Roadshows attract over 150 senior level attendees and in 2018 will visit Newcastle, NSW and Perth, WA. Members receive 50% discount on tickets, making these events the most cost-effective mining conferences you can attend in 2018. Check out www.austmine.com.au/events for more information.
- Our international missions calendar in 2018 has been updated to ensure we visit only the more prospective regions around the world for CAPEX and OPEX mining projects. On the schedule for 2018 are PNG, Chile, Peru, Russia and the USA. PNG is a member-only mission, with members also receiving first access to and significant discounts on the other missions. If overseas growth continues to be a focus for you in 2018 - make sure you don't miss out on these!
- We continue to work more closely with miners than ever before, to arrange dedicated focus groups and workshops around their most pressing challenges. In 2017, miners we worked with on these included: FMGL, Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Teck Resources, Gold Fields, Barrick Gold and more.
Marketing
- In 2018, Austmine will produce 4 eBooks, on the topics of Improving Mining Operations, Small Footprint Mining, Cyber Security in Mining and Next Generation Mine and Plant Design - all featuring our relevant members.
- We will host over 20 webinars, where our members present on their expertise, focusing on fleet management, process plant optimisation, International markets and technology and systems from other industries. When you speak on a webinar, you receive full marketing exposure, the webinar recording and the attendees list.
- Every press release, article, whitepaper or editorial that members send through to us will be posted on both of our websites, shared through our social media networks and included in our weekly newsletters.
- Every social media post we are tagged in, or sent directly, will be re-shared to our networks of over 25,000 mining industry contacts here in Australia.
- We will conduct one interview, per member, on leading industry trends that align with the member's offering and take that curated content out to market, on their behalf.

7 年If you provide goods and or services to the mining industry and you're not a member of Austmine I hope you are one of our competitors. The benefits of membership far exceeded my expectations and I can't recommend it enough. To really leverage off the benefits and opportunities commit to get involved by reading the articles and attending the events. It's worth every minute.
