Many healthcare providers received 2023 Medicare Advantage (MA) performance estimates in December 2023 and early January 2024.
The results for many indicate poor payment incentive performance. The below chart depicts standard payment incentives for quality, health risk assessments (HRA) based on annual wellness visit and HCC coding performance, and earned shared savings.
As healthcare providers head into 2024, now is the time to renegotiate MA payment incentives, using a 2-prong test of "Worth it Factor" and "Feasibility Factor".
In general clinic transformation revolves around a high-value annual wellness visit that focuses on patient care and optimization of payment incentives.
The most efficient and effective way to optimize payment incentives is to put the payment incentives in the provider EHR workflow using FHIR technology.

1 å¹´There has been increasing number of patients coming to the health facility by 60 percent. For the 16 I have operated the facility as an in charge at least we have not reported an death case. People give good report on the general clinical operation and employee performance evidenced by the increasing number of patients admissions by 40 percent. I have managed to create up a well equiped laboratory, number of laboratory investigation tests have in creased which has contributed to increased number of patients who come to health facility by 30 percent. I have managed to ensure timely ordering of stock and supplies for the facility and this has enabled to reduce the drug stock outs by 70 percent. I have also managed to increase the health facility budget by 60 percent.

1 年Thank you for the illustrations. Great idea. We still need to get the patients into the office. They don’t want to come just for a ‘chat’. We need to wrap it with an actual visit.
