The following incident happened just a few weeks ago, in the 4th week of May 2020, in the middle of the #covid19 pandemic and lockdown. A global IT Company is recruiting. This is a gist of the conversation with the candidate, one of our #SXA student.

Recruiter to candidate: "You have passed 10 steps of our rigorous filtering process. Congrats. Very few have done so successfully."

Candidate: Thank you. I'm grateful for the opportunity.

With this, the interview process came to an end. The recruiter asked the candidate to name a figure as his salary expectation. Guess what?

The candidate gave a figure which was 5 times the salary he is earning in his current job.

The recruiter smiled as said. 'That sounds like a reasonable amount you are asking, given your high worth and value.

WOW.

YOU MUST BE THINKING, Right ?

Yet 6 months ago, when this candidate connected to me on #LinkedIn for the first time, he was desperate. His personal and professional life was in crisis. He is just 30 years old. He said to me, " I'm in my current job for the last 7 years and I'm stagnating, stuck in a rut. All my plans have come to nothing career wise. On top of that I got married a year ago and all hell has broken loose in my life. I'm in a terrible situation-unable to manage my life. Here are excerpts from my conversation with him on 13 Sep 2019 after he took the 3 min free #SXA Test demo.

Now experience is the key factor but it brings higher expectations and skill demands from any individual. I took this challenge but not sure when I can be able to get the right and desired job
